The Strange Claremont House was built in 1882 by Colonel Hamilton Yancey and is listed in the Historical Register as the finest example of Victorian Gothic Architecture in the state of Georgia. The Claremont House has witnessed major events in its long history: family residence, gory movie set, bed & breakfast and most recently, a major protagonist in Stranger Things (season 4). With the runaway success of Stranger Things, it has become a tourist landmark and symbol of the town of Rome, Georgia. Today, the building is a universal icon of the Horror genre.
